transmasculine activism is not transmisogyny
now that i already managed to shoot and lower the rent with that sentence alone, let's sit down and have the same fucking discussion we have every few months.
read my words carefully right now: this is not a denial of transmisogyny, or exorsexism. it is neither an attempt at petty infighting.
speaking of which, infighting is a really neat dogwhistle for "queer subgroups raising concerns about how they are treated in the wider community", used to shut down any such discussions in that department.
trans men saying that they experience isolation from queer support groups and peers once they start physically transitioning is not transmisogyny.
trans men saying that they are living in the shadows, no one standing up for them, feeling invisible and unrepresented in the queer community is not transmisogyny.
we are merely trying to stand up for ourselves, since no one else will. this is not a denial of oppression other trans and queer people face. we just fend to ourselves.
the rise of radical feminist talking points in queer community is worrying. especially in trans circles. rebranding trans-inclusive radical feminism as "transfeminism" is dangerous to everyone.
the problem is, no matter how you twist it, radfem always bases itself on gender essentialism. the only difference? this time it doesn't exclude trans people in its wickedness.
standing up against radical feminism is not transmisogynist. it's the same ideology terfs operate on in order to attack trans rights around the world under the guise of women's right protection.
trans men wanting to be treated as equals is not transmisogynist.
we are not your enemies, we just deserve our own spaces and we deserve to not be rejected from the queer community. gender doesn't make anyone inherently innocent or evil
and to see trans sisters pursue that ideology willingly is worrying.
